Slovenian Entrepreneurship Observatory / Slovenski podjetniški observatorij
The Slovenian Entrepreneurship Observatory
The Slovenian Entrepreneurship Observatory was founded in 1998 following the example of the former Observatory of European SMEs. With the Slovenian Entrepreneurship Observatory, the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management at the FEB UM each year presents an overview of the situation of Slovenian entrepreneurial demography in a comparative way with the European one, while in the second part, it is devoted in more detail to one or more topics in the field of entrepreneurship that affect 10 areas of the Small Business Act. In this way, it ensures the necessary harmonized comparative analyses and the preparation of harmonized reports for economic policy makers. Over the years the research has been funded with various basic and targeted research projects and within the research program "Entrepreneurship for an Innovative Society". For a number of years, the research is financed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology through the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investment and Technology (SPIRIT) and the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor.
