Prostori ("Spaces")

The collection PROSTORI (Spaces) includes two types of book editions: works by authors, which ensures the affirmation, popularization and documentation of the research achievements of individuals, primarily geographers, and book editions in the field of geography and related sciences. It includes original and translated scientific monographs, project reports, dissertations, study materials and university textbooks, all resulting from research work. The collection is also a form of affirmation of the research work of the members of the Department of Geography at Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor, although it is open to all authors whose research work is worthy of publication in terms of content and methodology. From a spatial point of view, the collection is intended for the local environment, Maribor and the north-eastern part of Slovenia and Slovenia as a whole, which should contribute to a better knowledge of this area and a stronger awareness of its natural, cultural and development potential. Book editions are generally prepared in printed and digital form and are freely available online. The first editor of the collection was dr. Vladimir Drozg, Melik awardee of the Association of Geographers of Slovenia.
