Mere vrstniških nominacij: sociometrične mere in nasilje
Synopsis
Peer relationships are of central importance for students. The social acceptance of students is most often measured with a sociometric test, which determines the social position of the student in the class and the relationships in the group. Based on the results of the sociometric test, students can be divided into groups of popular, ignored, average, rejected and controversial students. In our paper, we were interested in whether sociometric groups differ in the practice and experience of physical, verbal and relational violence. To examine the differences between the groups, we used multivariate analysis of variance. We found that there are statistically significant differences between the groups in all measurements, namely that in general, the controversial group more often practiced all forms of violence compared to other groups. The rejected group of students reported the most frequent experience of verbal and relational victimization, while the controversial group also frequently reported physical, verbal and relational victimization.
