Slovene in the Palm of Your Hand 3. The monograph presents the on-going results of the Slovene in the Palm of Your Hand project (2017-2021). Within the project’s framework, we are preparing an innovative, freely accessible e-environment for language learning. The e-environment comprises four thematic sets (orthography, grammar, idioms and proverbs, and texts) and is designed as an extensive exercise collection utilizing examples from current and authentic texts. Moreover, the e-environment provides demonstrative explanations that learners can use as an aid when completing exercises or as an independent language handbook. The monograph’s contributions present the background of the exercise preparation process in greater detail, provide the concepts of preparing the explanations, touch on the significance of phraseology competence and describe interesting results of an idiom meaning questionnaire. Furthermore, the contributions outline the planned internal e environment evaluation and evaluate the e environment with regard to flexible learning and teaching pathways. Therefore, specialized readership can gain insights into the development and implementation of the individual preparation stages of the e-environment, which will be able to further enrich Slovene lessons from the year 2021 onwards.
