Synopsis

This chapter summarizes studies investigating the development of auditory perception and musical skills. Learning tonal and rhythmic skills significantly enhances auditory discrimination and students' musical potential. Research findings suggest that auditory training can improve auditory discrimination. The importance of listening in music education is emphasized, as it plays a vital role in developing musical abilities by connecting musical knowledge with critical and creative thinking at increasingly higher levels of complexity and understanding. It is essential for teachers to integrate modern technologies into the learning process, as they enable innovative teaching approaches, enhance motivation, and provide expanded opportunities for developing musical hearing. These elements are crucial for advancing music pedagogy and fostering the long-term development of students' musical abilities.
