Synopsis

Due to changing lifestyles, children are increasingly less exposed to natural situations that promote motor development. As children spend more time in educational settings, it is essential for educators and teachers to incorporate appropriate activities that support motor development into their teaching. This chapter presents an aspect of music and its impact on motor development. The chapter outlines the benefits and effectiveness of playing musical instruments for motor development. It is important to choose appropriate strategies that have been proven to contribute to the development of motor skills. One such strategy is the eurythmy method, which combines music and movement activities, with the common goal of improving motor skills.
