Synopsis

Vector Calculus. In textbook Vector calculus the authors, dr. Tina Sovič and dr. Simon Špacapan, give a detail study of vector and scalar functions of one and several variables. The textbook contains the following topics: curves and surfaces in Euclidian space, diferentiation of vector functions, double and triple integrals, line and surface integrals and relations between them. The aim of the textbook is to provide theory on vector functions and show aplications of this theory to problems that appear in engineering practice. Textbook is supplemented with several figures which vividly demonstrate the subject of study and dozens of examples which demostrate the use of theory in exercises. Additionaly, the textbook contains several exercises which students should so Ive on their own.

Tina Sovič, University of Maribor, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture

Tina Sovič is assistant for mathematics on Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture of University of Maribor. Her main research field is topology, more precisely continuum theory.
She has published several research articles in mathematics.

Simon Špacapan, University of Maribor, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

Simon Špacapan is a professor of mathematics on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of University of Maribor, where he teaches different subjects in mathematics. He is a coauthor of several textbooks and workbooks in mathematics for students of engineering and natural sciences. His main research interest is in discrete mathematics, in particular graph theory, product graphs and graphs on surfaces. He published several research articles in the field of mathematics, and was mentor for several undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students of matheamtics.
