Synopsis

Study Material for the Course Law of Obligations - III: Institutions of the Law of Obligations, Integrated Study Tool with Tasks and Guidelines. The study material is designed as an integrated tool for undergraduate law students at the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor, attending the course Law of Obligations. The material supports flipped and problem-based learning methods, incorporating theoretical questions, statements, and practical examples that deepen students' understanding of the subject matter. Each chapter provides study guidelines, an overview of key concepts, and exercises to reinforce knowledge. The material helps students develop analytical skills and legal reasoning, which are essential for successfully solving legal problems both during their studies and in their future careers. In addition to preparing students for the Law of Obligations exam, this material is also useful for deepening knowledge in other subjects related to civil and commercial law.

Andrej Bitrakov, University of Maribor, Faculty of Law

Andrej Bitrakov graduated from the University of Maribor’s Faculty of Law and currently works there as a Research and Teaching Assistant for the Law of Obligations. For his outstanding academic success, namely the highest average grade in his generation at both the First Cycle University and the Second Cycle master’s study program, he received several awards from the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Maribor and was also rewarded the Rector’s Award for the Best Academic Achievements of Students at the University of Maribor. In addition to his position as a teaching assistant, he is currently employed at the Centre for Legal and General Affairs of the University of Maribor, where he deals with contract law, real estate law labour law, personal data protection law, and many others. He is actively engaged in academic research in various legal areas, including the law of obligations, intellectual property law, real estate law, and labour law.

Klemen Drnovšek, University of Maribor, Faculty of Law

Klemen Drnovšek is a Research and Teaching Assistant of Civil Law and Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor. He graduated with honours and, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, was awarded the Grawe Excellence Award and the Rector’s Award for the highest academic accomplishments among students at the University of Maribor. He is employed as the head of the Department for Legal, Personnel, and General Affairs at the University of Maribor and holds the role of President at the Lawyer’s Association in Maribor. In addition to his commitment to teaching and practice, he actively engages in scholarly research. His research contributions span across various legal domains, including contracts, torts, public procurement, environmental law, and labour law.
