Dr. Nataša Samec Berghaus is as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor. There, she imparts knowledge on several subjects: Law of Obligations, Substantive Civil Law, Capital Market and Securities Law, as well as European Union (EU) Capital Markets Law and Rules on Liability. With over two decades in research, she initially delved into areas like law of obligations and corporate law, with a special interest in good corporate governance. Since 2013, her research pivoted towards medical law, environmental law, energy law, and public economic law. As a testament to her dedication, she spearheaded and contributed in different research projects and four research programs in her chosen fields. In addition to two scientific monographs in Slovenia, she co-authored ‘Energy Law in Slovenia’ and ‘Tort Law in Slovenia’, and has to her credit several original scientific articles published both in Slovenia and internationally.

Klemen Drnovšek is a Research and Teaching Assistant of Civil Law and Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor. He graduated with honours and, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, was awarded the Grawe Excellence Award and the Rector’s Award for the highest academic accomplishments among students at the University of Maribor. He is employed as the head of the Department for Legal, Personnel, and General Affairs at the University of Maribor and holds the role of President at the Lawyer’s Association in Maribor. In addition to his commitment to teaching and practice, he actively engages in scholarly research. His research contributions span across various legal domains, including contracts, torts, public procurement, environmental law, and labour law.
