Dictionary of Slovene Abbreviations. The monograph consists of an extensive introduction to abbreviations, in the framework of which the author comprehensively examines the position in the Slovenian language, both on a diachronic and synchronic level. The monograph focuses on the classification of abbreviations, the position of abbreviations in Slovenian orthographic dictionaries and general and specialized dictionaries. The work concludes with the characteristics of the micro- and macrostructure of the Slovenian Dictionary of Abbreviations and a presentation of examples and characteristics of the dictionary's articles. The monograph consists of an extensive dictionary of Slovenian abbreviations. Among the main scientific findings is a comprehensive introduction to Slovene abbreviations and the preparation of Slovene abbreviation-expansion pairs, which form a complete dictionary of dictionary articles. It is a modern dictionary of Slovenian abbreviations, which we do not yet have in Slovenia. In addition to the general Slovene abbreviation-expansion pairs, the work also includes terminological abbreviations and provides an additional explanation, if necessary.
