Synopsis

The Skills for Success in the Workplace: Textbook. The Skills for Success in the Workplace textbook is a collection of a total of eight chapters, through which students will receive certain knowledge they need when choosing a job that suits them. First of all, the individual must know well what knowledge and abilities, i.e. what competencies are required for each job, that is why we start the textbook with competencies. We continue with a combination of job advertisements, rules for writing a resume and preparation of a motivational letter, which will enable the individual to apply for the desired position. Since the application alone is not enough, below we focus on the process of the job interview and tests, which are very often an integral part of the employment process. The last two chapters, parts in a group and stress at the workplace, round off the contents, everything from finding the right workplace for an individual, to fitting into it and adapting to a new environment. The content is strongly interwoven with numerous exercises and examples that will enable students to gain an in-depth understanding of the selected content.
