Synopsis

Logistics in Post. The book deals with postal logistics, where the basic concepts of mail and logistics are given. Through a historical review of the post office, we stop at postal traffic and individual phases. Special emphasis is placed on packages and letters. Finally, the challenges of the post in the field of future development, sustainable development, including the use of drones, are presented.

Author Biography

Andrej Lisec, University of Maribor, Faculty of Logistics

Andrej Lisec is associate professor in the logistics, reverse logistics and sustainability fields and a researcher. He has been involved in the coordination and implementation of severa! international and national projects, focusing on sustainability, reduction of logistics cost and environment. He was member of the expert group by the European commission in the field Smart, green and integrated transport far the H2020 in the Member States, he was in the Expert group far the Strategic Transport Research and lnnovation Agenda (STRIA) governance. He has many international experiences and have been studying and working at the institutions outside Slovenia, an invited lecturer at the Zagreb University in Croatia, and University of Cartagena, Spain; he was studying at University of Viadrina, Germany. During his projects work he has been collaborating with various international partners, including academia and companies. Recently, he was involved in the preparation of the biggest logistics conference in the world, where more than 120 researchers and professors were involved. He closely collaborated with the Conference on Transport and Research in the Danube Region.
