Synopsis

When I go and come back, I embrace the whole world. The experimental, avant-garde, multimedia artistic, also poetic and finally almost the most film group WORMS, active mainly in the past eighties and nineties, has its beginnings in 1983, when young artists joined forces in Maribor and were named first Worms or later in English. Worms. The founding ensemble - Gorazd Šifrer, Edmund Türk, Maja Jeričević, Dušan Ivanišin and Uroš Smasek - worked in the fields of photography, poetry, painting and film. She presented herself for the first time in January 1984 and with the participation of some co-creators - Andreja Pisnik, Vito Lužar ... - she participated in the first short feature films Krog in Danaja (inspired by Türk's love poetry) and was awarded at all domestic and major foreign festivals of amateur or production-independent film.

Dr. Karmen Salmič Kovačič is a musicologist and librarian, curator of the Music and Film Collection and subject librarian for music and film at the University of Maribor Library, where she has been employed since 1997. Prior to that, she was an assistant for music history at the Department of Music of Faculty of Education of University of Maribor. After graduating from high school in Brežice and the Secondary Music School in Ljubljana, she continued her studies at the Department of Musicology at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. In 2016, she received her PhD with the thesis Demetrij Žebrè and Contemporary Stylistic Tendencies of Slovenian Music. She is the author of numerous exhibitions, professional and scientific contributions, projects. She mainly researches Slovenian orchestral music of the first half of the 20th century.
