Insights Into Asian Spirituality. Marija Švajncer, Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts in Maribor, wrote a transparent and informative summary of Asian spirituality. She used a descriptive and analytical method, and interpreted literary works. The author highlighted the informative aspect and carefully studied almost everything that is available in Slovenian language regarding Asian spirituality. She also relied on some foreign work. She edited the Slovenian theory on Asian philosophers - all the most important books and accompanying words of Slovene philosophers, sinologists, indiologists, literary theorists and translators. In doing so, she highlighted the high level of these efforts and theoretical contributions. It offered their various explanations and made it possible to compare the acceptance and interpretation of Asian spirituality and that of philosophers in Slovenia. When looking at Asian spirituality, Marija Švajncer followed the chronological order. She paid a lot of attention to the appropriate terminology. She placed the original terms in brackets and deliberately maintained the differences that appeared with individual translators or translators. The best and most interesting part of her book is her own encounter with original philosophical, literary and essay works. In a literary style, she sought to bring readers closer to the search for a spiritual path, one way or the other, from human distress, to discover the divine and to extinguish, and to reach other people. She also offered philosophers insights into contemporary developments in the field of spirituality, and drew attention to the aspirations to form better interpersonal relationships and a less violent world. With the book Insights into Asian Spirituality, Marija Švajncer has creatively contributed to the enrichment of Slovenian science in this field, while at the same time her book will be of interest to a wider readership and useful as a study material.
