Between Supply and Demand: The Competitiveness of Creative-Sustainable Tourism Destinations. The monograph Between Supply and Demand: The Competitiveness of Creatively Sustainable Tourism Destinations provides a comprehensive examination of the factors that shape the long-term competitiveness of contemporary tourism destinations. Particular attention is devoted to gastronomy, sustainability, creativity, cultural heritage, local identity, destination management, tourism providers’ business models, and visitors’ behaviour and perceptions. The publication integrates supply-side and demand-side perspectives and demonstrates that competitiveness depends not only on the availability of natural, cultural and gastronomic resources, but above all on the ability to manage, connect and transform them thoughtfully into high-quality, authentic and market-attractive experiences. The individual chapters combine theoretical discussions, qualitative and quantitative research, and examples of good practice from Slovenia and abroad. The monograph thus offers a multi-perspective insight into the development of destinations that seek to be competitive, responsible, locally rooted and development-oriented at the same time.
