Creating Business Value in Unpredictable Times Aiming for Antifragility
Synopsis
Cyber resilience is conceptualized as a socio-technical form of risk management aimed at mitigating the business impact of both foreseen and unforeseen disruptions. While traditional cybersecurity overlaps with this domain, true resilience requires more than mere impact reduction; organizations must extract strategic value from the unknown, a state characterized as antifragility. Organizational learning serves as the fundamental mechanism for fostering this antifragile posture. This PhD research project proposes the development of a Cyber Resilience Maturity Model (CRMM) designed to facilitate organizational learning and enable firms to gain value from uncertainty.
