Synopsis

Road Safety in the Local Environment: Problem-Based Learning Collaboration with Intermatic Ltd.. This scientific monograph presents the results of interdisciplinary research on road safety conducted through problem-based learning collaboration with Intermatic Ltd. The contributions address legal, organizational, technological, social, and managerial aspects of road safety in local communities. Particular attention is devoted to digital traffic solutions, data-driven decision-making, artificial intelligence, sustainable mobility, traffic education, and the social legitimacy of road safety measures. The monograph combines theoretical insights with empirical research and provides recommendations for improving road safety, enhancing traffic management systems, and supporting the development of smart local communities. It also represents a successful example of collaboration between academia and industry in addressing contemporary societal challenges.

Author Biographies

Miha Marič (Ed.), University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences

Miha Marič, Ph.D., is a researcher in the field of leadership, management and organizational sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. He is currently employed as an associate professor at the University of Maribor’s Faculty of Organizational Sciences. His research interests are power, leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management, organization and management. He is the author of numerous original scientific articles, professional articles, papers at scientific conferences, scientific monographs, and was an editor and reviewer. He also participates in research projects and consulting work.

Sašo Živkovič (Ed.), Intermatic d.o.o.

Sašo Živkovič is the director of Intermatic Ltd., a company operating in the field of traffic technologies, road safety systems, and digital traffic management solutions. His work focuses on improving road safety, supporting data-driven decision-making, and developing innovative traffic solutions.
