Synopsis

The paper analyses the role and responsibilities of the ski resort supervisor as an important element in ensuring safety at ski resorts. The overview of the legal framework is supplemented by the findings of a survey to which we invited supervisors from most Slovenian ski resorts. We asked the supervisors for their opinion on the adequacy of the regulations for ensuring safety and order at ski resorts, in general and specifically in the part that relates to the ski resort supervisor. We were also interested in the supervisors' experience in conducting supervision and handling accidents, as well as their opinions on the necessary additional or new measures to ensure greater safety at Slovenian ski resorts.
