Synopsis

This chapter examines marketing for educational institutions which has its specificities in the service sector. Rapidly changing conditions and fierce competition require a different kind of approach, as educational institutions have used until now. Digital technology plays a key role so that new ways of advertising services and reaching new customers are possible for educational institutionsThe analysis focuses on the factors that have an impact on the decision for educational service, ways of acquiring knowledge, challenges in transferring knowledge to the work environment, the success of training participants in taking the final knowledge assessment and the use of digital technology in the educational process. Findings revel that the quality of educational service is still one of the most important factors while choosing the educational service. Digital technology has a great impact on acquiring knowledge, especially acquiring knowledge online and for that reason acquiring knowledge is also faster and easier. Access to relevant literature and e-materials also significantly contribute to the success of training participants in completing the final knowledge assessment. Based on these insights, proposals for improvement include adjustments of acquiring knowledge and the use of digital technology in the educational process.

Ajda Sofrić, University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences

Ajda Sofrić holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource and Educational Systems Management and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor, specializing in Organization and Management of Human Resource and Educational Systems. In the academic environment, she is actively involved as a student tutor, supporting and guiding students throughout their studies. She has gained professional experience in administration, training organization, and customer-oriented work environments. Her professional interests include human resource processes, training and development support, communication, project coordination, and efficient work organization in dynamic environments.

Petra Zidar, Simič & Partners Group

Petra Zidar is a graduate HR systems organizer with over ten years of experience in the field of organizing professional events, membership management and competence development. She works within the Tax Education Institute and the Tax Advisory Chamber of Slovenia, where she manages comprehensive support to members and coordination of their professional education. Her work also includes organizing formal and informal meetings aimed at strengthening the professional community and cooperation between members. In her work, she focuses on effective support for HR and professional systems, quality knowledge transfer and ensuring a high level of organizational and content implementation of events.

Goran Vukovič, University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences

Prof. dr. Goran Vukovič is a full professor of marketing and human resources at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences of the University of Maribor. As an expert, he covers the areas of human resources, teams, marketing and purchasing through his research, project and consulting work. He is the author of scientific monographs, professional and scientific articles, a reviewer, translator, editor, invited lecturer at foreign universities and a regular participant in conferences in the field of research at home and abroad. He participates in projects or leads EU projects such as MODI, MLAB, Model Implementation (LACORE), European Territorial Cooperation through Technology and Science, etc. Bibliography: COBISS printout contains 671 units.
