Creating Knowledge for the Sustainable Development of Higher Education Institutions
Synopsis
The Education for sustainable development is one of the global goals of the United Nations Agenda for 2030 and involves the acquisition of new knowledge and skills. Knowledge management means creating, acquiring, sharing, storing, and using knowledge. In Slovenian higher education, there is no theoretical or empirical research in which authors comprehensively link institutional transformation, knowledge creation, and sustainable practices. The purpose of our contribution is to present the findings from a review of 35 studies on the three conceptual dimensions mentioned above, which are present in the global higher education sector. We conducted the review in publicly accessible databases using the PRIZMA methodology. The results of our research will have theoretical and practical implications for management science and practice and will encourage the development of national research and education policies and strategies.
