Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The application for a proposal to publish a publication at the University of Maribor Press has been completed.
- The manuscript for submission is prepared in permitted file formats (.docx, .doc. .pdf).
- The consents of third parties (authors, holders of material copyrights) for the use of their copyrighted works (graphs, images, photographs…) in the proposed publication are regulated.
- Application for a proposal for publishing at the University Press is complet.
- The minimum resolution of the graphic material used is at least 300 dpi.
- Graphical guides for table design are followed.
Copyright Notice
Authors who submit a manuscript agree to publish the publication with the University of Maribor Press:
- in electronic form (e-book), that it will be published in open access under the selected Creative Commons license.
- in printed form (hard or softcover), that it will be published under the license (C) University of Maribor, University of Maribor Press all rights reserved.

At the University of Maribor, acting as the data controller, we are committed to protecting personal data with due care and in compliance with applicable European and Slovenian legislation, as well as international standards.
What is personal data? Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. This includes, for example, a person’s name and surname, home address, location data (e.g., data transmitted by a mobile device), online identifiers (such as an IP address), email address, telephone number, and similar information.
What does the processing of personal data mean and when is it permitted? Processing of personal data means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether by automated means or not. This includes collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.
Personal data may only be processed where there is a legal basis for doing so, as defined by applicable law.
What are the rights of individuals? You can find more information about individuals’ rights regarding the processing of personal data in the section Rights of the Individual.
Names and email addresses used for the operation of the University of Maribor Press and displayed on its website are used exclusively for these purposes and are not made available for any other use or to any third parties. Data relating to website users will never be used or shared without the user’s explicit consent. Upon request, a user’s email address can be removed from mailing lists. All personal data relating to a user is available to them upon request.
