Synopsis

Educational institutions are exposed to a rapid changing environment, including digital transformation (DT). As digital transformation is a complex societal problem this can’t be navigated by a single institution. Often organisations collaborate in networks to address wicked problems. However, a better understanding is needed about mechanisms for coordinating and planning activities in collaborative networks, especially for the development of shared understanding regarding a wicked problem like DT. This research intends to prototype and test interventions for networks by conducting participatory action research with multiple-case studies.
