Finite Element Method in the Analysis of Static Response of Planar One-Dimensional Structures: A Collection of Solved Examples. The finite element method (FEM) is certainly the most widely used modem method for solving mechanical problems of structural analysis in civil engineering. The present work represents a significant upgrade of the material with a similar title, ali copies of which were unexpectedly sold out abroad in 2022. The work is stili intended primarily for students of the master's programs in Civil Engineering and lndustrial Engineering at Faculty of Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering and Architecture, University of Maribor, as study material for the written exam in the courses Finite Element Method and Fundamentals of the Finite Element Method, where some new examples also serve as partial study material for the exam in the course Selected Chapters in the Finite Element Method. The examples are designed primarily to complement the lectures, not as a completely independent work.
