English-Slovenian Dictionary of Terminological Abbreviations. The dictionary English–Slovene Dictionary of Terminological Abbreviations is a scientific publication that contains abbreviations in the English language and their translations into Slovene. The dictionary is the result of many years of research and the author’s engagement with abbreviations. The material was collected over several years, partly manually and partly automatically using an algorithm for the automatic extraction of abbreviations from electronic texts, on which the author has published several scientific works. The dictionary includes English abbreviations with translations into Slovene. It is arranged alphabetically, and each entry contains a graphically highlighted abbreviation along with information about the terminological field to which the abbreviation belongs. Translations and equivalent Slovene abbreviations are also provided where they exist. The dictionary also lists alternative forms of abbreviations, which is very useful from the user’s perspective due to the different ways abbreviations are recorded in various sources. Where necessary, additional information is also provided.
