Competencies for Decision-Making in Situations of Moral Dilemma

Moral dilemmas represent one of the most challenging areas of human decision-making, as they involve conflicts between fundamental values, norms, emotions, and rational judgments. The purpose of this scientific article is to comprehensively analyze the competencies required for quality decision-making in moral dilemmas and to place them in a broader theoretical and empirical context. The article is based on an interdisciplinary approach that combines moral philosophy, moral development psychology, cognitive science, and pedagogy. Special attention is paid to cognitive, emotional, social, and value-based competencies and their role in educational and professional environments. The article concludes with a discussion of the challenges and opportunities for further research into moral decision-making.
