Identification of the Factors Influencing Short-Term Success of Business Systems
Synopsis
In the contemporary business environment, it is essential to understand that the factors of short-term success represent the basic building blocks of the long-term existence of business systems. Short-term success of a business system refers to its ability, within a limited period of time, to ensure stable operations, efficient use of resources, high productivity and timely, high-quality decision-making. The achievement of these results is influenced by different factors in terms of their nature, dynamics and time horizon. The purpose of this paper is to identify a set of factors that influence the short-term performance of business systems. To achieve this goal, a review of the multidisciplinary SCOPUS database was carried out, providing a broad insight into the topic. The paper represents a starting point for further analytical and empirical research of these factors and their relationships. The resulting set serves as a foundation for the development of a model of the most important short-term success factors, whose purpose is to provide a useful methodological basis for different business systems.
