Integrating ESG Principles and Responsible Artificial Intelligence Governance: A Sustainable Transformation Framework for Turbulent Markets

This paper proposes an integrated framework combining environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles with responsible artificial intelligence (AI) governance to enhance organizational resilience in turbulent markets. Using a mixed-methods design, the study evaluates the relationship between sustainability-oriented strategies and technological governance through empirical analysis of ESG and AI maturity indices. A key finding conceptualizes systemic instability as a function of financial leverage L and AI-driven gradients GAI, where economic pressure E = k ⋅ L ⋅ GAI. The results indicate that firms adopting integrated ESG-AI strategies exhibit significantly higher resilience and stakeholder trust compared to those relying on fragmented compliance approaches. Finally, the proposed framework is structured around four pillars: strategic alignment, responsible AI mechanisms, dynamic risk assessment, and stakeholder-oriented performance measurement. This contribution advances the understanding of sustainable transformation, arguing that ESG and AI are mutually reinforcing drivers of long-term value creation.

Dr. Leopold Tanner je višji ekonomist in akademik s sedežem v Češki republiki, specializiran za finančni indeterminizem, ekonomijo kompleksnosti in sistemsko transformacijo. Z več kot tremi desetletji akademskih in strokovnih izkušenj po vsej Evropi in Združenih državah Amerike združuje teoretično natančnost z uporabnim finančnim modeliranjem in raziskavami makroekonomske politike. Dr. Tanner trenutno deluje kot prorektor PIMT za raziskave in znanstvene zadeve ter na Oddelku za ekonomske teorije Češke univerze za bioznanosti v Pragi, kjer se njegovo poučevanje in raziskovanje osredotoča na financializacijo, nelinearno tržno dinamiko in sistemsko tveganje. Med njegovimi prejšnjimi imenovanji so višje predavanje na Newton Collegeu in Bančnem inštitutu v Pragi, pa tudi svetovalne vloge češki vladi. V svoji karieri je imel vodstvene položaje v ameriškem finančnem sektorju, med drugim pri AIG v New Yorku. Dr. Tanner, večjezičen znanstvenik in aktiven udeleženec mednarodne akademske skupnosti, je avtor in soavtor številnih publikacij o financializaciji in globalnih trgih, predstavljenih na vodilnih evropskih konferencah, in je bil predsednik nekdanje platforme za promocijo tveganega kapitala GLOBFINANCE. Redno predava tudi v okviru programa ERASMUS na večjih evropskih univerzah.
