Synopsis

The paper addresses the use of 3D simulations as a modern instructional approach in industrial employee training. The aim of the research was to demonstrate how a realistic simulation of a manufacturing process can be developed using the open-source software Blender, improving the understanding of work procedures, increasing workplace safety, and contributing to reduced training costs. The theoretical part of the paper discusses the characteristics of open-source software, the development and capabilities of Blender software, and the role of 3D simulations in industrial education. The empirical part presents the creation of a 3D animation of an electric charging station assembly and an analysis of its usability compared to traditional technical documentation. The findings indicate that 3D simulations enable better understanding of work tasks, greater learning repeatability, and a reduction in errors. The paper confirms that open-source tools provide effective support for modern industrial training.
