The Impact of Enterprises Open Data Maturity on the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals – A Case Study Research Protocol
Synopsis
Open data create new opportunities for enterprises, as their use can enhance innovation capacity, transparency and sustainable practices. Although prior research indicates that the use of open data contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable development goals, this research area remains underexplored. This study addresses the impact of enterprises’ maturity for open data use on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The purpose of this paper is to present the development of a case study research protocol that enables systematic research of connections, and to demonstrate the suitability of the FsQCA method for analyzing complex causal configurations, characteristic for organizational studies. In this paper, we developed a rigorously structured case study protocol which, in combination with the fsQCA method, enables a systematic examination of the impact of enterprises open data maturity for the achievement of SDGs, while ensuring a high level of scientific validity.
