Synopsis

Influencers play an important role in shaping public opinion and communicating content on social media, which opens new opportunities for the use of artificial intelligence in automating the creation of digital identities. This paper presents the development of an autonomous virtual influencer designed to promote the Faculty of Computer and Information Science at the University of Ljubljana (FRI UL), based on the use of modern AI models for generating textual and visual content. The system automatically gathers up-to-date information from selected online sources and, using AI tools, generates professor-style posts that are then automatically distributed across social media platforms. The complete process of designing, implementing and testing the autonomous agent is described. Special emphasis is placed on the technological challenges, opportunities and ethical considerations that accompany the use of artificial intelligence in creating and managing digital personas.
