System for the Automatic Detection and Analysis of Safe Following Distance in Road Traffic

At the conference, we will present a system for automatically detecting and analysing safe following distances in road traffic. This system is based on a combination of cameras, advanced computer vision algorithms, and artificial intelligence. The solution can accurately detect vehicles, measure inter-vehicle distances, and identify hazardous situations in real time without interfering with existing road infrastructure. Designed for long-term, continuous outdoor operation, the system enables traffic safety analysis, supports preventive measures, and informs decision-making by road authorities.
