Synopsis

School Counselling for Pedagogy Students: From the Individual to the Community, University Textbook for Courses in the Field of Counselling. The textbook School Counselling for Pedagogy Students: From the Individual to the Community is designed for pedagogy students preparing for the role of school counsellor in educational institutions. It is structured in accordance with the updated Programme Guidelines for Counselling Work (2024) and current domestic and international scholarly literature. Across ten chapters, it systematically addresses the core concepts and principles of school counselling, the organisation and position of school counselling services, fundamental counselling skills, types and models of counselling, planning and evaluation, career guidance, work with vulnerable groups, school culture and climate, and supervision and professional development. A distinctive feature of the textbook is its systematic didactic structure, which at each chapter includes a warm-up activity, in-depth theory, a concluding exercise, and a selection of literature for further study.
