Synopsis

Enhancing the Entrepreneurial Experience Through a Supportive Environment in the Ljubljana Urban Region. The monograph “Enhancing the Entrepreneurial Experience Through a Supportive Environment in the Ljubljana Urban Region” combines five chapters that analytically address key dimensions of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem: strategic approaches of the RDA LUR, human resources and mentoring-educational programs, legal mechanisms, technological support for SMEs, perceptions of the agency's digital transformation. Based on empirical data and in-depth interviews, concrete proposals are formulated for upgrading existing support systems, thereby strengthening innovation, adaptability and sustainable development of the entrepreneurial environment in the region.

Author Biographies

Miha Marič (ed.), University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences

Miha Marič, Ph.D., is a researcher in the field of leadership, management and organizational sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. He is currently employed as an associate professor at the University of Maribor’s Faculty of Organizational Sciences. His research interests are power, leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management, organization and management. He is the author of numerous original scientific articles, professional articles, papers at scientific conferences, scientific monographs, and was an editor and reviewer. He also participates in research projects and consulting work.

Dejan Marinčič (ed.), Regional Development Agency of Ljubljana Urban Region

Dejan Marinčič, Master of Health and Social Management, is currently a doctoral student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor. He is employed as an advisor to the Director for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region (RRA LUR). As the project manager of PONI LUR (Enterprising Above Challenges), he is a key mentor for the participants of the program, helping them develop entrepreneurial ideas and enter the market. Under his leadership, the program has achieved a high level of success, with 43 out of 98 participants establishing their own company or activity. Dejan is also active in promoting entrepreneurship in the region, which includes participating in events such as the Traveling Office of European Funds, where he presents the success stories of the PONI program. His dedication and professionalism have contributed to the development of numerous innovative entrepreneurial initiatives in the Ljubljana Urban Region.
